No. Tutoring typically focuses on helping students complete assignments or review classroom material. Reading intervention goes deeper by identifying and addressing the underlying skill gaps that cause reading difficulties. This targeted approach leads to more meaningful and lasting progress.

Sessions take place either in-person at a previously agreed upon location in the Coachella Valley (student’s home or public library), or virtually via Google Meet.

No. I do not provide diagnoses. I offer reading intervention and work with students who have diagnosed or suspected reading difficulties.

Intervention is most effective when provided consistently over time. Length varies depending on the student’s needs, progress, and goals. Most students meet once or twice a week for a session.

Yes. Families receive updates on progress, and parent workshops are available to help caregivers support reading development at home.
